How to pass any exam- 7 useful tips

One of our teachers told us: You have whole life to study but only six months to pass this paper. So, concentrate on understanding what examiner wants.
Here are 7 tips to help every student pass exams, based on my personal experience:
1.       No limiting belief please
-          Remove the limiting belief that you can’t pass.
-          If you believe you can pass or you believe you cannot pass, you are right.
-          I have seen students under the impression that examiner is their enemy. Please don’t think so. Pass percentage might be low, but students do pass their exams. So, don’t think that you will be in a failure category ever.

4 Mistakes You Should Aviod In Life...

There are so many circumstances or experiences that can get in the way of our growth and stifle our creativity and our lives.
I’ve discovered that there are three mistakes we often make in our endeavors to grow, create, or experience something new:

Mistake #1: Not Taking Your Instincts Seriously

Have you ever said “I’m fine” when inside you were hurt or afraid? Or said “It’s not a big deal” when, in fact, it was consuming your every waking thought (and likely your dreams)?
Or maybe you even rolled your eyes at yourself; told yourself that you were overreacting, or that a comment, dream, or feeling didn’t matter.
Yeah, don’t do that.
It—whatever “it” is for you—does matter. It matters that you have a dream to start a business. It matters that you want more than what everyone else is settling for. It matters that you are upset or unsettled or craving expansion in your life.
It matters because those things are signs that you are not on the right track, signs that something is out there calling your name, signs that you’re ready to discover and devour it.
And those signs should always be taken seriously. Listen to where your inner voice. It’s there for a reason.

Mistake #2: Not Creating Space for Growth

Growth requires space—actual physical space, as well as space in your schedule.
I tend to see two reasons people don’t create this space:
  • They think it’s selfish. They have kids, work, chores, and obligations. It would be selfish to put those off just for themselves.
  • Or they don’t think it’s possible. They have kids, work, chores, and obligations. Who has time or energy to undertake anything else?
While both of those are really symptoms of not taking it seriously, there is more to it.
If you think it’s selfish to create time for you—to chase a dream, to process an emotion, to rest and reconnect—you’re not seeing one very important fact:
You can’t give to others what you don’t have, and you don’t have what you don’t take the time to give to yourself.
Growth requires self-compassion, patience, and generosity. If you ignore it, it will nag you, deplete you, and bury you in stress.
But when you give yourself the things you need, you soon begin to overflow those same things—the compassion, patience, and generosity – back into your world.
When your soul is filled up to overflowing, the feeling of impossibility takes care of itself.
Make the things that matter—such as self-care, compassion, and authenticity—priorities, and you’ll find you have the time and energy to create the life you visualize.

Mistakes #3  Never Take chances of opportunities
some people in life fail because they fail to utilize the opportunities that was given to them, this particular area in life can mar your plans. When you are given a chance to do something, do it properly as if you wouldn't be given such chance in life.you should also be able to identify opportunities when they come.
remember when an opportunity is lost it can never be regain.

Mistake #4: Labeling Your Efforts
Any time you start something big or life-changing with labels like “not good enough” or “stupid,” you shut down your growth before you’ve even begun.
Because how can someone who is stupid or not good enough possibly do anything worthwhile?
But you’re not stupid, and you efforts are good enough. You have to let go of the labels and approach your experience with an open mind and heart. This is what allows you to create possibilities that are more and better than what you know.
If you’re struggling with this one, hold on to one truth: Each and every person was born pure, whole, and open to growth and learning.
The struggle doesn’t come from who you are inherently, but rather the messages you’ve heard about who you are.
“It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s because we dare not venture that they are difficult.” ~Seneca
I leave you with these few questions:
What messages have you heard?
What are your beliefs about yourself and what you can do?
What things are holding you back from venturing into life?

5 things you must do to be successful in life

What is success?

Can you define success?
If you asked 5 different people to describe success then most likely you will get five different answers. The reason you will get different answers is that each person will talk about the things he personally wants to achieve and most likely those things will differ from one person to another.
So is there a general definition for success that could match everyone's description? Yes there is, success is getting all the things that you wanted in life whatever they were.

5 Ways Pornography Affects Teens’ Brains

In this modern world where everything is accessible, a teenager can easily watch anything he or she wants, including pornography. Pornography does many things to teenagers, changing their perspective and way of thinking, especially when they become addicted to it. Here are the ways pornography affects  teenagers’ brains.
1. The Hormone Dopamine
This hormone is responsible for memory, attention, mood, and pleasure, which is activated whenever a person feels good. Pornography always brings excitement as it satisfies a person’s sexual urges. So when a teenager watches it too often, more dopamine is increased, which can be addictive. Their brain will unconsciously activate dopamine to the point where their body will eventually depend on it. As a result, addiction to pornography is likely to occur, destroying the teenager’s way of life.

The Naked "Truths" to Keep Your Relationship Healthy

I think it's easy to make things more complicated than they need to be. Here are some basic rules of the relationship road that will keep you headed in the right direction
1.     Successful relationships take work. They don't happen in a vacuum. They occur when the couples in them take the risk of sharing what it is that's going on in their hearts and heads.
2.     You can only change yourself, not your partner. If you love someone and think that after a while he or she will alter behaviors you find uncomfortable, think again. If you want changes, put them on the table. so your partner knows what you need.
3.     All arguments stem from our own fear or pain. When upset occurs, check out what's going on inside of you rather than get angry with your partner. Truth is that we usually aren't upset for the reasons we think we are.
4.     Understand that men and women are very different. We're not from Mars or Venus; we're not even in the same solar system. Understanding and celebrating our differences will make living together more peaceful, interesting, and fun.
5.     Honor each other in some way every day. Every morning you have the opportunity to make your relationship sweeter and deeper by recommitting to your mate. Feeling respected and cherished by the one you love makes life much nicer.
6.     Anger is a waste of time. Anger is also a relationship killer, because it makes you self-absorbed and won't allow you to see the good. If you are annoyed with your mate, give yourself some time to calm down and then gently discuss what's going on for you.
7.     Get regular tune-ups. Go to a couples workshop, talk with a counselor, or read a relationship book together at least once a year. Even if you don't think you need it, you will pick up a couple of ideas, and the process alone will strengthen your connection.
8.     Find a way to become and stay best friends. For some this sounds unromantic, but for those who live it, most say it's the best part of their time together.
9.     Be responsible for your own happiness. No other person can make you happy. It's something you have to do on your own. If you feel it's your partner's fault, think again, and look within to find out what piece may be missing for you.
10.  Give what you want to get. Our needs change with time. If you'd like to feel understood, try being more understanding. If you want to feel more love, try giving more. It's a simple program that really works.
There are no guarantees, but couples who practice these techniques have longer and stronger relationships than those who are not proactive in their love.

20 Bad Habits To Avoid If You Want To Be Happy

We all want to be happy. We often talk about how badly we want happiness, yet we keep repeating the same unhealthy habits over and over again.
The best way to achieve happiness is by eliminating things that aren't serving us anymore.
So read the following list of what you should stop doing, and make your life happier today:
1. Stop complaining about what’s missing. Instead, be grateful for what you already have.
2. Stop being a jerk to people you love. Instead, open up about what’s bothering you deep inside.
3. Stop comparing yourself to others, because you’ll never feel good enough. Instead, focus on your strengths and let them shine.
4. Stop pushing people away with your criticism. Instead, accept your imperfections and acknowledge theirs as well.
5. Stop living in your past. Instead, forgive yourself and those who caused you pain and move on.
6. Stop seeking people’s approval, because you’ll always feel that something’s missing. Instead, believe in yourself and focus on what makes you happy.
7. Stop blaming others for your unhappiness, because you’re the author of your life. Instead, put a plan together to create the life that you want.
8. Stop beating yourself up when you make mistakes. Instead, use them as an opportunity to grow.
9. Stop falling into your bad habits. Instead, create new ones that will help you achieve your goals.
10. Stop wasting your life on Facebook and on TV. Instead, find new passions that will nurture you.
11. Stop living other people’s dreams. Instead, find your own and feel alive forever.
12. Stop being in a rush. Instead, focus on every moment because you have all your life to complete your tasks.
13. Stop worrying about everything. Instead, focus on every moment so you don’t miss out on miracles.
14. Stop controlling others. Instead, appreciate who they are and what they are.
15. Stop thinking you’re the smartest. Instead, appreciate the best in others and work with them to create a more harmonious world.
16. Stop trying to impress other people. Instead, be yourself and let people love you for who you are.
17. Stop surrounding yourself with negative people, because they’ll only bring you down. Instead, be around like minded people who appreciate you and support your growth
18. Stop saying YES to everything. Instead, stand up for yourself and say NO lovingly, for everyone’s sake.
19. Stop competing for success. Instead, realize that the world has enough for everyone.
20. Stop being scared of taking your first step. Instead, gain your power back and trust the process of life. Everything happens for a “good” reason.

Tips For Younger Looking Skin

Human skin is the most wonderful protective cover ever made. Skin, the largest organ of human body, not only protects internal organs but also allows you to sense touch. It plays an important role in regulating body temperature and eliminating bodily toxins. Do you think it would be possible to keep your body in shape without being covered by skin? The answer is no! However, in spite of being an important organ, our skin doesn’t get the kind of attention that it truly deserves. Your skin does not demand much from you—just follow a regular cleansing-toning-moisturizing regimen and see how your skin responds. You need not empty your wallet on skincare products to achieve a young and glowing skin although it does respond well to a spa treatment every now and then. Take a look at the following simple, yet effective steps, to get young, healthy and glowing skin.
How To Get Younger Looking Skin
Skin Care – Make It A Habit
  • Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin on a regular basis. Remove even the last traces of make-up before going to bed. Cleansing removes dirt and bacteria, toning tightens the pores and moisturizing hydrates your skin.
  • Use specific skincare products for day and night as your skin’s nutrient requirements for day and night are different.
  • Get regular facial massages. This would help you keep wrinkles away. Although, you need to make sure that you don’t start these too early. Facial massages should ideally be started after 25 years of age.
  • Use sunscreen whenever you go out. UV rays are strong enough to cause wrinkles and sun-induced ageing. Also, avoid stepping out between 10 AM and 4 PM when the sunrays are extremely strong.
  • Use mild soaps to cleanse your skin and cleanse gently. Gentle facewashes that suit your skin would be better still.
  • Exfoliate your skin regularly to get rid of all dead cells accumulated on your skin. This would help your skin feel younger and healthy.
Healthy Habits
  • Do not smoke. Smoking accelerates the degeneration of collagen, an important protein. This results in early aging of your skin. Smoking also results in the constriction of blood vessels which, in turn, results in less oxygen and nutrient supply to the skin cells. The repetitive facial expressions during smoking, like pursing of the lips, also accelerate wrinkle formation.
  • Drinking alcohol dehydrates your skin and makes it dry and dull. Those who consume alcohol must make sure that they drink in limited quantity and supplement their liquor with plenty of water and fruit juices to retrieve the skin’s water content. Try avoiding soft drinks as well; they are just as harmful, if not more, as hard drinks, and for similar reasons.
  • Sleep for at least six hours daily. Your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself when you sleep. Inadequate sleep leads to lethargy, disturbed metabolism and also creates dark circles and bags under eyes. It also makes you irritable, depressed, anxious and is a leading cause of obesity, diabetes and heart problems. So, follow a regular bedtime habit.
  • Do some aerobic exercises regularly to improve the circulation of oxygen in your body. Yoga and swimming reduce stress and get you a good sleep which, again, is good for your skin.
  • Avoid drinking coffee more than once a day because, it’s caffeine content prevents skin cells from absorbing enough water, resulting in premature aging.
Healthy Diet Facts
  • Diet with high sugar makes your body acidic and is extremely unhealthy for both your body and skin.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids are important for skin because of their ant-inflammatory effects. These essential fatty acids are found in abundance in oily fish like salmon, sardines, trout or tuna and in dry fruits like flaxseed and walnuts. You can also consider an omega 3 supplement to ensure adequate supply of this nutrient to your body.
  • Including more vegetables, like carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins, turnips, sprouts, broccoli, peas and leafy greens etc., in your regular diet chart has incredible effects in retaining younger looking skin
  • Vitamin-C rich fruits like strawberries, oranges, kiwis and guavas should be made a part of your regular diet. Vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant and also supports the protein collagen.
  • Tea is abundant in antioxidants. Make drinking tea, especially green tea, a habit to enjoy good health and younger looking skin. But make sure you cut the milk and sugar out of it otherwise it is just a cup of unhealthy caffeine dose.
  • Try including plenty of fiber in your diet. Oatmeal, apple, raspberry, brown rice, broccoli etc. are rich in dietary fibers.
Home Recipes For Younger Looking Skin
  • Milk cream, sandalwood and turmeric face pack is a wonderful home recipe for younger skin. Sandalwood has incredible cooling effect while milk provides essential nourishment and turmeric is endowed with anti-bacterial properties. This face pack is effective against age spots and acne and also brings extra glow to your skin.
  • Green tea and chamomile are incredible toners. Use this pack regularly to eliminate the signs of aging and soothe puffy eyes along with achieving a lighter complexion.
  • Use sundried orange peel to cleanse your skin while taking bath. Use it in combination with milk to achieve the maximum results as it is an excellent cleanser while orange peel is a gentle and effective exfoliator.
  • Use almond-honey mask to improve your skin complexion.
General Tips
  • Do not spend too much time under shower, especially too hot or too cold shower, because it may strip your skin of its natural moisture.
  • Know your skin before picking up any skincare product. Using wrong products may ruin your skin irreparably. Do not just follow trends but check the ingredients before buying a product. Avoid alcohol containing products if you have a dry skin because they will only make your skin even drier. Look for water-based products if you have normal to oily skin.
  • Always do a patch test before buying a product. This would help you understand whether you are allergic to a specific product or not and thus save your skin from the awful allergic reactions.
You need not spend hours pampering your skin; your skin responds to gentle skincare measures just as much. Follow the simple measures mentioned above and enjoy incredible skin.

How To Keep Your Heart Healthy

Do The Diet
You can never really have a healthy heart if you don’t exercise dietary discipline. A diet high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, and low on refined sugars and trans fats is what will help you get to a healthy heart and lowered cholesterol. Cutting out the obvious like deep-fried foods, steak dinners, pizzas, etc. is the only way for you to arrive at a healthy heart. As far what you should be eating goes, eating salmon, a fish that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, will help decrease your chances of death via a coronary artery disease. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables too. This will help keep your weight and blood pressure under control.

Say No To Alcohol
You probably knew this, but have never chosen to limit your intake of alcohol. Alcohol by itself is not bad, it’s only when people have a drink too many on a daily basis that alcohol tends to reveal its ugly side. Excessive consumption of alcohol can result in high blood pressure and at times even a heart failure. However, alcohol consumed in moderation can be effective in increasing good cholesterol.

Stop Stress
Everyone’s life is prone to stress, only varying degrees of the same. This only means that as an individual you have got to muster the courage to learn how to keep ‘stress levels’ well below the limits of harm. People who stress about the silliest of things and even more about significant issues tend to smoke, drink, and overeat. This only leads to a vicious cycle, the end of which leads to a heart attack. The only way to get out of this vicious cycle is to stop stressing and take life as easy it’s supposed to be taken.

Sleep On It
Has someone ever told you that sleep is bad for you? No? Well, that is because sleep is only good for you. It is the only way your body recovers from what could have been an extremely tiring day. Sleep as a basic function of life not only improves your ability to perform basic and complex tasks, but also increases heart health and even does wonders for your mood. Remember this, the more you sleep, the lesser the chances of dying from a heart disease. However, this does not mean you sleep throughout the day. It only means that you at any cost have to get your 8-9 hours of sleep.

Bury The Bud
If you smoke a lot or don’t smoke much but smoke occasionally, this one’s for you. It’s a proven fact that smoking can result in a heart disease. The chances of you having to deal with a heart disease are directly proportionate to the number of cigarettes you smoke. So, remember the next time the urge to smoke kicks in, kill it by saying NO!

Exercise
Last but not least, physical activity is what should be considered for a hale and healthy heart. Exercising regularly apart from building your strength and endurance also leads to a healthy heart and this is as good as a fact. Remember, it’s called cardio for a reason. Speaking about cardio, make it a point to indulge in activities that challenge your cardiovascular system. Ultimately, it is these challenges that will help you arrive at your ‘hearty’ goals.

Interesting Facts About Apples

  • Did you know that the delicious, crunchy apple, which is the main ingredient in pies, turnovers and Halloween parties, first originated in Middle East thousands of years ago? It’s alleged that Alexander the Great first discovered this sweet red treats while on his expedition to Asia Minor in 300 BCE and introduced it to Macedonia later.
  • You must have often heard people say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. But have you ever wonder how? Well, for all of you who didn’t know, an apple contains more antioxidants than a 1,500 mg Vitamin C tablet, making it one of most potent sources of antioxidants. What’s more, apples are full of phytochemicals that have anti-carcinogenic properties and can save you from the potential risks of developing cancer.
  • This delectable fruit contains an impressive list of nutrients ranging from the cholesterol fighting phytonutrients to bone health boosting flavonoids like phloridzin and boron to cancer thwarting quercetin. What’s more, this scrumptious fruit is loaded with pectin that helps in the digestion process apart from keeping the body’s insulin needs in check. An apple is believed to contain more fiber than a big bowl of bran cereals.
  • Did you know that Irish Peach is not a variety of peach but an apple? Apparently, there are more than 7,500 varieties of apples available all over the world. This fruit comes in all shades of red, green and yellow and are curiously named as ‘red delicious’, ‘golden delicious’, ‘epicure apples’, ‘ginger gold’, ‘gala apples’, ‘fuji apples’, ‘granny smith’, ‘melrouge, rome’, ‘queen cox’, ‘idared’ etc.
  • Ever wonder who coined the expression, "You are the apple of my eye"? Well, the laurel indeed goes to the ancient Greeks and Romans, who believed that human eye pupil resembled an apple and hence the phrase came into being. For all who don’t know what this famous phrase means, “apple of my eye” connotes love, admiration and beauty.
  • Did you know how you eat your apple can reveal a lot about your personality? There are innumerable ways in which you can enjoy your apple other than the good old apple pie. You can wedge it into pieces or split it into halves, strip of its skin or munch your way to the end. No matter how you enjoy your apple, always remember that how you munch your fruit reveals oodles about the kind of person you are.

15 Early Signs Of Cancer

1, Unexplained Weight Loss
Realizing that you suddenly fit into your skinny jeans may seem like a pleasant surprise — but the reality is that unexplained weight loss (or weight gain, for that matter) is usually a red flag. If you've lost 10 pounds or more in less than a month (without changing your diet or exercise routine), you should see your doctor.
Unexplained weight loss can be an early sign of pancreatic, stomach, esophageal or lung cancer (as well as other health problems, like an overactive thyroid, diabetes, depression or liver disease).

2, Changes to Your bosoms
Most women recognize a lump in their bosom as something that should be checked out by a doctor. But there are other changes to your bosoms that could also signal cancer. If you notice any of the following, let your doctor know:
• redness or thickening of skin around the bosom
• cellulite-like dimples or a red or purplish discoloration in the skin
• your bosoms feel hot, swollen or irritated
In addition, if you notice an unusual Tip discharge, or if you notice changes to you Tip (like suddenly appearing flattened, inverted or turned sideways), report the changes to a doctor.

3, Bleeding Between Periods
Every woman's period is different, and for some women, spotting is common. But if you're typically regular and start bleeding between periods, or if you bleed after reaching menopause, let your doctor know. Nine in 10 women with endometrial cancer report irregular bleeding as an early sign. Also, some women mistake bleeding from their gastrointestinal tract as spotting or as their period. GI tract bleeding can be an early sign of colorectal cancer.
4, Bloating
It's normal to feel bloated once in awhile, especially after a big meal or during your period. But if that bloated feeling persists for more than a couple of weeks or continues to get worse, talk to your doctor. Also let your doctor know if you experience bloating in conjunction with feeling unusually full, a change to your bowel or bladder habits, or low back or pelvic pain. Those are often the early symptoms of ovarian cancer.

5, Skin Changes
Most women know that a yearly skin check to spot any new moles (or changes to existing moles) is the best way to spot skin cancer while it's easily treatable. But other skin changes can also signal skin cancer. Tell your doctor if you notice any waxy lumps, scaly skin patches, or spot a sore or rash that doesn't heal.
Also note if you have any excessive bruising — especially on the fingers and hands — or if you notice any skin bleeding that seems unusually hard to stop (both are an early sign of leukemia). If you've monitored any skin abnormalities for more than a few weeks and have noticed no improvement, consult your doctor.

6, Constant Fatigue
Balancing work or school, family obligations and hitting the gym — all while trying to maintain some semblance of a social life — can make you feel like you’re always on the go. It’s completely normal for most women to feel tired and run down from time to time. But if your fatigue doesn't let up after getting rest, head to your doctor. Prolonged fatigue is a sign of many different types of cancers, or may signal another health problem, like a thyroid condition or iron imbalance.
7, Difficulty Swallowing
Having problems swallowing could be an early symptom of esophageal, throat, lung or thyroid cancer. If you have pressure in your throat or feel like something is stuck in your windpipe, see your doctor.

8, A Chronic Cough
Coughs are most often caused by allergies or infections. And while they may linger as you recover from the flu or a cold, having a cough that doesn't go away or that is accompanied by chest pain is a symptom of many types of cancer, including lung cancer. If you have a cough that lasts more than 3 to 4 weeks, or if your cough goes away and then reappears consistently, make an appointment with your doctor.

9, Feeling Unusually Full
Constantly feeling full despite having eaten little, or experiencing a prolonged loss of appetite could be a tip-off to ovarian cancer (as well as other, less serious health problems like GERD or IBS). If the feelings persist over a period of a few weeks, or if they're accompanied by vomiting, bloating, a fever or weight loss or weight gain, let your doctor know.
10, Swollen Lymph Nodes
Changes in your lymphatic system are most often due to an infection — but in some cases, swollen, firm lymph nodes in the armpit, groin, or neck could be a sign of danger. If the swelling continues for more than a month, or the swollen glands seem to be getting bigger, see your doctor.

11, Shortness of Breath
If you frequently have difficulty breathing, especially when you’re not doing anything strenuous, it could signal a more serious health problem, including lung or thyroid cancer. You may also be suffering from bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism or other heart or lung problems — all of which require prompt medical attention.

12, Frequent Fevers
Often times, a fever is a welcome sign — it signals that your body is fighting off an infection. But if you have a persistent fever that isn’t explained by an infection, it may signal a blood cancer like leukemia or lymphoma. A fever that lasts more than four days warrants a call to your doctor.
13, Changes to Nails
Your nails suffer a lot of normal wear and tear every day, and it isn’t unusual for them to suffer bangs that can leave white spots or bruising. Plus, everyone’s nails look different — some people naturally have weaker, peeling or otherwise less-than-perfect nails — and that’s also normal. However, there are instances where unexplained nail changes can point to more serious problems. Dark streaks or spots under your nails could indicate skin cancer, while having pale nails could mean liver cancer.

14, Blood in Your Urine or Stool
Blood in your stool can be caused by several different medical conditions, including hemorrhoids, Behind Based fissures or cracks, inflammation of the colon or peptic ulcers. However, it’s also a sign of colorectal cancer.
Blood in your urine can signal bladder or kidney infections or stones, an enlarged prostate; it may also be the result of certain medications, or over-vigorous exercise. But in some cases, blood in the urine can indicate bowel or kidney cancer. If you see blood in your urine or stool, it’s important to let your doctor know, so that he or she can pinpoint the cause.

15, Persistent Pain
We all have days where we feel achy or sore. But chronic, persistent pain isn’t something you should write off as a side effect of aging or over-exercising. Back pain, pelvic or abdominal pain and even what seems like a run-of-the mill stomachache or indigestion can signal many different types of cancer, from liver, pancreatic and bosom to ovarian, endometrial and colorectal. If you can’t find a plausible cause for the pain you’re feeling, and if it continues to dog you, talk to a doctor.

The Top 10 Foods That Boost Your Testosterone

A study released in the news Wednesday showed that men who restored their normal testosterone levels lost weight, lowered blood pressure, and improved cholesterol. The German researchers took 115 obese men between the ages of 38-83 with low testosterone levels as subjects for a 12 week study. The study was paid for by Bayer Pharma (a manufacturer of testosterone replacement therapy). While increased risk of prostate cancer has been found in other studies this one did not report the same findings. You can read more details here.
Doctor injections are one way to go. But if you are looking to boost testosterone levels, there is a more natural way to go about it. That natural way is simply adding foods that help to increase the natural production of testosterone in your body. Foods that are high in zinc, protein, fiber, indol 3 carbinol and allicin will help increase testosterone production. Check out the list below and consult your doctor about creating a diet plan that works for you.
Meats:
Oysters have protein, magnesium and tons of zinc. They are not just an aphrodisiac (check out more aphrodisiacs here along with a great three course menu for a romantic dinner for two) they are also great for boosting testosterone (some might agree the two go hand and hand). Just six oysters give you about seven times the RDA recommended daily zinc intake. Zinc is one of the key ingredients in boosting your natural testosterone and muscle mass.
Lean beef has protein, iron, magnesium, zinc, and saturated fat. The high protein and zinc are essential in boosting testosterone and building muscle (both of which reduce fat in the body). Saturated fat is also a key in producing testosterone but you don’t want to get too much of it, so offsetting your diet with beans and rice and poultry can help keep that boost in place.
Poultry offers a great source of protein with little amount of fat. Most weight lifters and fitness gurus will agree that high protein diets have a great impact in building muscle mass. There is also a good amount of zinc in poultry like chicken breast, thighs and wings and as mentioned in the lean beef section zinc is essential in boosting testosterone. Don’t shy away from poultry like goose, turkey and duck or wild game all good sources as well and offer a great variety to your diet. We all know variety is the spice of life.
Eggs have large amounts of protein and cholesterol. Testosterone is actually synthesized from cholesterol so food containing cholesterol is great for boosting testosterone development in the body. One should be picky about the amount and type of cholesterol they ingest for heart health. There have been studies on both sides of the fence about the cholesterol in eggs, a recently published study shows the cholesterol in eggs are not as harmful as once thought. You can also use liquid egg whites if you are concerned; either way if cholesterol is a concern check with your doctor first.
Veggies and Herbs:
Beans are high in protein, fiber and zinc. They are all around a great source of food for boosting testosterone and cleaning out the system of unwanted fats. The level of zinc in beans is almost unmatched in the veggie family and baked beans can actually rival red meat. Not to mention the high protein (when eaten with rice) and fiber and low fat make this a perfect food to add to your weekly diet regime.
Elevated estrogen levels lead to extra fat and could interfere with muscle growth. Indole 3 carbinol has been found in studies to cut the hormone estradiol in half for men. Broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts have high levels of indole 3 carbinol. They are also a fantastic source of fiber which helps reduce fat as well. Guess your mother was right when she told you to eat those green veggies, they do help you grow up to be big and strong.
Garlic’s active ingredient Allicin has been shown in studies to enhance testosterone levels in men. It has also been shown to block cortisol which is a hormone that competes with testosterone. Cortisol limits testosterone actions in the body and helps to break down muscle tissue. Seasoning food with garlic is not always enough. Eating whole cloves is more beneficial.
Dairy:
One cup of cottage cheese is an excellent source of protein without the typical side effect of fat that comes with eating most beef or chicken. Have one cup a day to help boost those testosterone levels.

Want Joy in Life? Stop Being So Serious!

The path to Freedom can sometimes seem like a never-ending battle. Even when we think we are getting somewhere, something is still missing. Almost but not quite was my story, as I tried harder and harder to free myself of the past. Just when I thought I let that go… there it is again. It is the fire of commitment that keeps us going no matter what. We intuitively know that peace and joy is our natural way to be… so what is missing?
The sooner we discover how to not take things so seriously, the faster the Joy of Unity unfolds.
Is there any value in what we take seriously on the path? Does it contribute anything to our lives or the lives of those around us?
This “serious” habit had been so strong in my life that I took it with me wherever I went. It makes sense that I did the same with my spiritual quest. Often trying and effort is common, even in silent meditation. No matter how many times we try to go inward and “be still”, we can still be in our own way.
The Silence of our true nature works in the opposite direction. It is effortless and never takes a single thing serious. We can see this fact for ourselves by exploring what does not change in our experience. This is easy to see since the infinite already sees like this. It allows everything to change and move yet it remains free from it all, including our own seriousness. Isn’t that funny?
By exploring the stillness, a solid foundation of Joyful freedom turns life into an easy dance. It does not get rid of the problems and challenges we face but allows for a beautiful new attitude to flourish. This makes all the difference in how we relate with both our inner and outer world as it unfolds in sweet simplicity.
The theme of my life has always been anxiety. I took this seriously because I wanted to get rid of it. To the degree I could allow, take a deep breath and relax into the unknown, just that much more peace would show up in my life. Now that same energy that I struggled to get rid of can be seen with innocence. Innocence is key. Seeing in this way frees up that same energy for a new creative expression. It was always like this, I simply could not see it.
The bottom line is that not taking things seriously equals freedom. The Path takes commitment but not seriousness. This is the way of the Joyful Buddha. If enlightenment was serious, who would want it anyways?
As we play in the infinite, we can finally discover how to laugh at the root of our problem. There is only one thing in the universe in the way and all we have to do is laugh at it. We take ourselves too seriously. Since what we truly are doesn’t, why should we?

VALENTINE'S DAY FOOD

5 sexy, healthy foods for Valentine's Day

Chocolate prompts the release of the mood-boosting hormone serotonin as well as the amino acid phenylethylamine, which increases alertness … and passion. Just be sure to choose antioxidant-rich dark chocolate – look for one that lists natural cocoa powder high among its ingredients. Natural cocoa powder is known to be especially high in antioxidants, which may lower the risk of some cancers, stoke, and heart disease.
Oysters have long been considered the food of love and legend has it that Casanova ate dozens of oysters each day.  Oysters are rich in the mineral zinc, which is associated with male fertility, potency and sex drive. The health benefits associated with zinc are equal opportunity, though, as zinc promotes healthy metabolism and a healthy immune system. The daily requirement for zinc is 11mg for men and 9mg for females, and eating just two cooked oysters (11mg zinc) will give you enough.
Strawberries have been touted as an aphrodisiac fruit since ancient Roman days when the heart-shaped strawberry was a symbol of Venus, the goddess of love. In France, the age-old tradition of serving newlyweds cold strawberry soup is said to ensure a romantic honeymoon. It’s also said that breaking a strawberry in half and sharing it brings love. Strawberries are can help you keep your sexy curves because they are low in calories, (1 ¼ cup contains only 60 calories) and high in fiber (5g per serving) – a sweet treat that fills you up, not out. Strawberries are rich in biotin, too, which builds strong hair and nails.
Hot spices such as cayenne, curry and cumin can make you feel amorous because they warm and relax the body.  Capsaicin, the compound that gives chili peppers their fiery kick, does this while also increasing heart rate and triggering the release of mood-enhancing endorphins. Capsaicin is helpful for weight control because it revs up metabolism and satisfies appetite with smaller spicy portions.
Pine nuts are sexier than your average nut. A half cup serving contains a whopping 9g of muscle building protein and eating them can help increase stamina.  Plus, pine nuts are rich in healthy monounsaturated fats (1/2 cup contains 13g), zinc and other nutrients thought to promote sexual desire.

How to stop smoking in less than a week

Nicotine is one of the most addictive, harmful and widely available legal drugs in the world. Smoking is a bad habit and it is annoying and harmful to people who don't smoke. It harms children who are exposed to it passively. Cigarettes are responsible for around 4.9 million deaths each year. Quitting smoking is not impossible.

1. Realize that tobacco creates a habit on a variable reinforcement schedule. Sometimes, it gets you high. People smoke long after they have any expectation of getting high. At some point, you can combine it with coffee and alcohol, and it still does not work, but you've done it a hundred, thousand, or more times by then, and so they are all habit smokes. Sometimes, it actually hurts to smoke, and yet people keep doing it.

2. Find a strong inner determination to stop smoking. Consider making a list of the reasons you're thinking about quitting to shore up your determination. Specific, current, emotion-based reasons are better than factual, future-based reasons. For instance, "It's embarrassing to ride the elevator at work smelling like a giant cigarette" is more motivating than "I don't want to get cancer when I’m 40, 50 or 60." Get some facts. Look up smoking on the internet and find out the history behind it, and what happens to smokers later on in life. You'll learn about the profit motives behind the industry as well as some medically gruesome reasons to quit. Also, get the facts about any quit-smoking product or technique you're considering, as research shows that some are more effective than others. Your local consumer or community health organization might have comparison charts for you to check out.

3. Be positive and confident that you can successfully quit. You have spent time and energy planning how you will deal with the task ahead by following our tips for giving up smoking. Believe you can and you will do it if you persevere. Use goal accomplishment techniques and regular milestone rewards to stay focused and committed. Always start your new life with a sense of excitement and enjoyment.
Give yourself rewards for milestones (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc.). For example, if you smoked three packs a week at $4 per pack, after 6 months you would have saved $288, probably even more. Reward yourself with that money.

4. Choose a specific quit date. Instead of trying to quit each year on your birthday or for your New Year's Resolution, try quitting on a Monday! And not just next Monday - but every Monday. That gives you 52 chances in a year instead of just one chance––making it more likely that you’ll succeed. The Healthy Monday Campaign, a non-profit national public health campaign associated with the Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, encourages people to quit smoking and take other healthy actions on Mondays. Between your decision to quit smoking and your "quit date", do not smoke the same brand. The difference in flavors and chemicals will make smoking less enjoyable, but not intolerable. Switching brands also helps to ‘de-automate’ smoking, which can help you become more conscious of your habit and increase your chances for success.
5. Find a medication or a doctor to help you quit smoking. Nicotine replacement therapy is one option. Nicotine patches release a steady stream of nicotine into your bloodstream through your skin, and nicotine gum delivers nicotine through the lining in your mouth. Other forms of nicotine replacement therapy include nicotine sprays and inhalers that also work by delivering nicotine to your body. Alternatively, ask your doctor about prescription medications to help you quit.

5. Survive the first week. Use a cigarette substitute like mints, sunflower seeds, toothpicks, and coffee stirrers to help you get used to not smoking. When you were smoking, your mind and body became accustomed to the physical act of smoking, holding the cigarette in your hand, and putting it to your lips; using harmless substitutes eases the psychological transition to not smoking. Get out and about. Doing things to distract you from smoking is a good idea. Play a sport, go to the movies, walk along the beach, catch up with smoke-free friends for a gaming session, etc.
You might be able to stop the cravings by doing twenty push-ups or brushing your teeth whenever you experience a craving.
place a big fat rubber band on your wrist. Every time you get a craving, pull the rubber band back and "snap" your wrist, the trigger sensation goes away w/ the sting of the snap.
replace smoking by drinking water heavily; be careful not to drink too much or it will make your stomach look like a balloon for a few weeks. You may need to stay close to a bathroom.

6. Try a novel approach if you're unsure of the cold turkey approach. Do not force yourself to quit! Instead, observe yourself and the habit of smoking for a week normally as you usually do. Play with the cigarette you hold in your hands and notice how it looks, feels and smells. This will make you aware of yourself in spite of the habit, and will help when finally you take control over yourself, because you cannot stop doing something you are not even aware of. In most of the cases, the person is aware of buying a cigarette pack, lighting it and puffing out the smoke and stubbing the butt in the end, but is unconscious of his or her sensations while they are happening during the process. Usually smokers use smoking to relax or to enjoy the time to think and ponder over something while still feeling the emotion of being in control or doing something engaging with their hands. Avoid being over-aware. Just take a normal casual approach and write it down or make mental notes. Even better, imagine the whole scenario of "how you will light the next one". This way your mind will now have all the necessary sequences required to accept the habit and process your response in future.

7. Get back on track if you slip up. Don't get discouraged if you "slip" and smoke while trying to quit. Forgive yourself and try again. The key is to not give up, no matter how hard it feels. Pinpoint times, locations, and stresses that trigger an urge to smoke. Think of activities you can occupy yourself with as an alternative.

Tell your friends and family that you're trying to quit. Find support in those you love the most.

8. Throw all of the cigarettes out and stop buying and them and think of living a long life then thinking of dying. Don't hang out with the friends who smoke or don't go near the people who do.

9.Tell your friends and your family that you don't want to smoke and you don't want to see tobacco anywhere near you. Your family and your friends will try to help you out with that.
with this steps i really believe that you would give up the habit of smoking even if it would take a long time.

10 Benefits of Eating Carrots Daily

1.  Improved Vision
Western culture’s  understanding of carrots being “good for the eyes” is one of the few we got right. Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the liver. Vitamin A is transformed in the retina, to rhodopsin, a purple pigment necessary for night vision.
Beta-carotene has also been shown to protect against macular degeneration and senile cataracts. A study found that people who eat the most beta-carotene had 40 percent lower risk of macular degeneration than those who consumed little.
2.  Cancer Prevention
Studies have shown carrots reduce the risk of lung cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer. Researchers have just discovered falcarinol and falcarindiol which they feel cause the anticancer properties.
Falcarinol is a natural pesticide produced by the carrot that protects its roots from fungal diseases. Carrots are one of the only common sources of this compound. A study showed 1/3 lower cancer risk by carrot-eating mice.
3.  Anti-Aging
The high level of beta-carotene acts as an antioxidant to cell damage done to the body through regular metabolism.  It help slows down the aging of cells.
4.  Healthy Glowing Skin (from the inside)
Vitamin A and antioxidants protects the skin from sun damage. Deficiencies of vitamin A cause dryness to the skin, hair and nails. Vitamin A prevents premature wrinkling, acne, dry skin, pigmentation, blemishes, and uneven skin tone.
5.  A Powerful Antiseptic
Carrots are known by herbalists to prevent infection. They can be used on cuts – shredded raw or boiled and mashed.
6.  Beautiful Skin (from the outside)
Carrots are used as an inexpensive and very convenient facial mask.  Just mix grated carrot with a bit of honey. See the full recipe here: carrot face mask.
7.  Prevent Heart Disease
Studies show that diets high in carotenoids are associated with a lower risk of heart disease.  Carrots have not only beta-carotene but also alpha-carotene and lutein.
The regular consumption of carrots also reduces cholesterol levels because the soluble fibers in carrots bind with bile acids.
8.  Cleanse the Body
Vitamin A assists the liver in flushing out the toxins from the body. It reduces the bile and fat in the liver. The fibers present in carrots help clean out the colon and hasten waste movement.
9.  Healthy Teeth and Gums
It’s all in the crunch! Carrots clean your teeth and mouth. They scrape off plaque and food particles just like toothbrushes or toothpaste.  Carrots stimulate gums and  trigger a lot of saliva, which being alkaline, balances out the acid-forming, cavity-forming bacteria.  The minerals in carrots prevent tooth damage.
10.  Prevent Stroke:
From all the above benefits it is no surprise that in a Harvard University study, people who ate more than six carrots a week are less likely to suffer a stroke than those who ate only one carrot a month or less.
